A rare Japanese trial version of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure was given to game retailers and magazines at the time to promote the game's release. Players have the following four options to choose from:

• Start The Game | ゲームを始める: You play as Cornet Espoir in a very short demo. Players begin on Orange Village until upon reaching Wonder Woods. Defeating the toads ends the game.
• Watch The Musical | ミュージカルを見る: Watch Cornet and Kururu perform "Someday".
• Character Introduction | キャラ:紹介: You can read the descriptions of the game's characters.
• Story Introduction | ストーリー紹介: A female narrator describes the game's story in Japanese with early concept art. The original transcript can be found at the archived "The Story of The Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom" page from Nippon Ichi Software's website.

Availability of the trial disc can still be found at Yahoo Auctions or Mercari (if you can find it cheap). Lucky for me, I was able to find my copy n Ebay for a fair price. For a short demo, there's still plenty of prerelease material that still can be found here: Such as the early face portraits, the early rendition of "Little Love" and so much more! This is a must have for any Marl Kingdom/Rhapsody fan on their collection!
